Mentoring by the Masters Launch 2014 BRIEF OVERVIEW The “Mentoring by the Masters” is a programme that facilitates the transfer of knowledge from senior, accomplished artists and cultural workers, to up-and-coming artistes in their respective fields. OBJECTIVES Three key objectives of the programme are: 1.The staging of Developmental workshops, covering five main developmental areas: •Development of Competencies in the Visual, Literary and Performing Arts Earl Lovelace- Mentor in the area of Literary Arts •Cultural Industries Development Renee Cummings- Mentor in the area of Professional Development •Performing Arts Companies Lindy Ann Bodden Ritch- Mentor in the area of Musical Accompaniment (Piano) •Heritage Preservation Joseph Valley- Mentor in the area of Video Documentation •Festival Development Marina Salandy-Brown- Mentor in the area of Festival Coordination and Development 2.To host an Award Ceremony in tribute of the participating mentors. This will be staged immediately following the conclusion of the project.
