ENTERTAINMENT PROMOTER/DISC JOCKEY: I am an events coordinator/Marketing Manager with 14 years experience in the planning and management of cultural events in Trinidad and Tobago and in Barbados. My most recent work included an attachment to your Ministry’s Division of Culture as an Assistant Research Officer for three months (Sept-November 2009). During this time, I worked with a team of cultural officers. I continued to work with this team of Cultural Officers as a freelancer working in Marketing, Planning and Advertising up until NAPA FEST 2010.
I produced the annual Barbados Pan Festival for 9 years, 1999-2007, The Vintage Kaiso Series 1998-2002 and Caribbean Seven-A-Side Pan Competition for 2 years, 2005-2006.
Projects worked on Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2009 (CHOGM 2009), I programmed and managed 3 Pavilions and part of the sponsorship and marketing team.
I was also part of this team of cultural officers in the Marketing, Planning and Advertising of the inaugural events staged at the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA) namely:
• “Dance, Meh Lover”
• NAPA Fest 2010
